Bullet Proof Construction

The AEV Differential Cover is manufactured from high-strength nodular iron, providing a substantial increase in strength over the OE stamped steel cover. The housing is designed to resist deformation under impact, particularly along the lower edge where contact is most likely to occur.

Recessed mounting hardware further reduces the risk of bolt damage in off-road conditions, helping maintain sealing integrity and long-term reliability.

OE-Matched Internal Geometry

Many aftermarket differential covers alter the shape of the differential cover in pursuit of strength or increased fluid capacity, which can negatively affect lubricant flow and gear coverage.

AEV maintains the same internal profile as the OE differential cover to ensure proper oil circulation across the ring gear and critical components. This preserves the intended lubrication characteristics of the M220 differential while delivering increased housing strength.

Serviceability Improvements

The AEV Differential Cover is designed to simplify routine maintenance and in-field inspection:

• Oversized, top-mounted fill plug allows for direct fluid filling without auxiliary pumps
• Integrated oil level indicator plug is calibrated to the manufacturer’s recommended fill height
• Oversized fill port doubles as an inspection opening, enabling visual inspection of the ring gear without removing the cover or draining fluid
• The easy-access drain enables quick fluid removal without removing the differential cover

These features reduce service time and improve accuracy during fluid changes.
